About
Taylor’s approach brings together training from different contemplative and spiritual traditions to meet ourselves and the mystery of life with kindness, inclusivity, and depth.
Part awakening and part healing... part earth-based and part relational...
This work is about learning how to stand for what is true, and embrace everything that is.
It calls us to embody so many different aspects of our true nature: a warrior-like strength, a tender and merciful heart, a fierce courage, and much much more.
After Taylor encountered basic mindfulness meditation in his early 20s as a way to restore some sanity amidst a stressful workplace, he experienced a series of profound openings in meditation, filled with awakening experiences and a rapid shift to discover what's real.
In this early stage of practice, Taylor was drawn to learn mindfulness and practice Vipassana and Zen Buddhism.
While practicing within the Soto Zen tradition for many years, Taylor experienced the emergence of a spontaneous energetic awakening which completely upended his life. Taylor sought teaching, mentorship, and deepening in many new places. From shamanic healers and mentors to non-dual teachers, he explored dozens and dozens of avenues of support, teaching, healing and integration.
He deepened in many modalities, but especially in yogic meditation and conscious movement practices during this time. The overall teaching: how to meet the process with fierce strength, willing compassion, and wild acceptance.
He worked with many excellent teachers regularly and intimately during a quasi-monastic period of 7+ years, studying most closely with Craig Holliday and Chesaray. Taylor owes thanks to many different lineages, teachers, and modalities for supporting the journey of integration.
As the process began to stabilize, the energy to integrate, and the opening of something greater dawning with more clarity, he naturally began to hold space for others 1:1 and in a variety of group spaces.
Today, Taylor offers meditation and movement classes, as well as 1 on 1 sessional work.
