About
Taylor’s approach brings together tools from different contemplative and spiritual traditions to open to the mystery life, and meet what's within us in a wise and kind way.
Part awakening and part healing...
Part earth-based, part relational...
This life of ours calls for us to connect to and embody so many different dimensions of our true nature: mercy, strength, curiosity, tenderness, courage and more.
Ultimately, this work is about learning how to stand for what is true, and embracing everything that is.
Taylor encountered basic mindfulness meditation in his early 20s, simply as a way to restore some sanity amidst a stressful workplace in Washington, D.C. Quickly a larger spiritual exploration unfolded, filled with awakening experiences and a rapid takeover of turning towards the real. During this time he taught mindfulness meditation, and practiced Vipassana and later Zen Buddhism.
After moving from Washington, D.C. to Raleigh North Carolina, a new phase of spiritual life began, marked by incredible openings, energetic phenomena (kundalini), and a Dark Night process. He spent many years focused inward, in a monastic-like period.
This phase brought him to many new places to gain the training and support to integrate, embody, and heal. Taylor received support and training from many many places, but spent the most time with two primary guides (Craig Holliday and Chesaray) who themselves learned under Adyashanti, Jon Bernie, Jeannie Zandi, and a shared yogic master teacher. He has been working with these teachers closely since 2019 and 2020, and many other teachers in lesser ways.
During this time as a part of this broadening of interest and out of sheer practicality, Taylor worked with and received training in many modalities such as:
Integrating various psychotherapeutic modalities such as IFS, nervous system regulation, and trauma work. Completed a somatic attachment therapy certificate program in 2023.
Practicing deeply with different conscious movement/sacred dance communities (a la 5 Rhythms and beyond)
Studying western traditions and tools like Jungian depth psychology, symbolic and mythic-poetic ways, and the Enneagram
Learning under different shamanic teachers, and training in different shamanic modalities
Working with Byron Katie’s “The Work” over many years and through different stages of development
Working with spiritual dyads in many different forms over many years
Today, Taylor offers meditation and movement classes, as well as 1 on 1 sessional work.
